Scary Thought....

So here's a line from today's oswald that caught my attention.

"Notice the kind of people that God brings around you, and you will be humiliated once you realize that this is actually His way of revealing to you the kind of person you have been to Him." -Oswald Chambers

Wow....now that's food for thought...

I'll have to chew on that one some more, but I don't think I totally agree with it. Sounds funky to me.

i'm listening in on this conversation because i'd love to hear what you guys end up with...my first thought was that this was a really positive statement by Chambers, but then i re-read it and got stuck on the word 'humiliating' and know that most likely Chambers is referring to what i'd call 'humbling' which is more positive in my mind...anyway, i'm chewin' along with you...

Is he saying how are we in all situations? Not just the "mission" field? I mean by church or whatever we are seen at doing. These are my questions about it. The whole humiliating thing trips me up as well.

I don't know if I took it wrong or not....The way I took it was this.
If I have someone in my life that is very impatient and impatient with me, then more than likely I am probably impatient at times with God and therefore should give the person who is impatient in my life some grace. It's kind of like looking in a mirror in a way. I think that usually peoples attitudes bother us so much because it touches on something in us.
Or maybe I'm way off! lol.
